The 10-Day Bush & Beach Family Expedition combines a wildlife safari across Northern Tanzania with a tropical beach holiday on Zanzibar Island. This itinerary provides the perfect blend of wild game viewing, cultural interaction, and coastal relaxation for multi-generational families.

After 5 days of early morning game drives and big cat tracking, your family takes a direct flight straight to Zanzibar's white sand beaches. Here, adults can unwind while children participate in water sports, dolphin watching, and coral reef snorkeling.

Accommodations throughout the trip are selected for their spacious family villas, swimming pools, kid-friendly dining menus, and direct beach access.

Trip Summary: 9 nights divided between premier safari camps (Marera Valley Lodge, Serengeti Acacia Camp) and a luxury oceanfront resort (Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa in Zanzibar).

Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) where your driver transfers your family to a tranquil Arusha resort garden lodge.

Spend the rest of the day resting, enjoying fresh fruit smoothies by the pool, and preparing for the bush journey.
Day 2

Tarangire Elephant Safari

Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park for your first full day of wildlife viewing. Spot massive elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, and colorful birds along the river valley.

Enjoy a packed lunch in the park before heading to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater Floor Game Drive

Ngorongoro Crater
Descend early onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Spend 5 to 6 hours tracking the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) in this natural amphitheater.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending and driving toward the Serengeti gates.
Days 4–5

Two Full Days in Central Serengeti

Central Serengeti
Spend two full days exploring the Serengeti savannahs. Track lion prides resting on granite kopjes, cheetahs hunting in open grasslands, and vast herds of wildebeest.

Evenings are spent around the campfire listening to guide stories before enjoying family dinners under the stars.

Direct Bush Flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar

Board a flight from Seronera Airstrip directly to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ).

A private vehicle transfers your family to your east coast beach resort, where you can kick off your boots and step onto white sand beaches.
Days 7–9

Zanzibar Tropical Family Paradise

Zanzibar
Spend three full days enjoying the Indian Ocean. Activities include a private dhow boat tour to Mnemba Atoll for snorkeling with wild sea turtles and tropical fish, an interactive Spice Farm tour, and relaxing on shallow beaches.
