Your thrilling safari journey officially kicks off in the morning as your personal Nanyori Tours guide collects you directly from your Arusha accommodation. We hit a smooth tarmac road heading south across gently rolling Maasai plains, where you will immediately be immersed in local culture. Keep your camera ready as we zip past vibrant Maasai herdsmen in their striking red shúkas walking along the roadside, tending to cattle, or riding bicycles past scattered acacia trees.

By mid-morning, we arrive at Tarangire National Park, a landscape famous for its colossal elephant herds and iconic, giant baobab trees. Opening the pop-up roof of our state-of-the-art 4x4 Land Cruiser, we embark on an extensive game drive across seasonal swamps, open savannahs, and the banks of the life-giving Tarangire River. You will encounter a multitude of creatures ranging from massive buffalo herds and graceful giraffes to lions lazily stalking prey or leopards resting comfortably in overhead branches before heading to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Maasai Cultural Transit Drive
