The seven-day version of our river-crossing safari adds an overland route through Tarangire and Central Serengeti before reaching the Northern Serengeti's crossing points, giving a fuller sweep of the Northern Circuit alongside the same July–October migration drama as our six-day itinerary.
Rather than flying straight to the crossing zone, this route drives from Arusha through Tarangire's elephant country and into the Serengeti's central Seronera area — one of the richest, most reliable wildlife-viewing regions in the park year-round — before continuing north to the river crossings themselves for two full days of game drives. The trip closes, as with our other Northern Circuit itineraries, with an early-morning descent into Ngorongoro Crater.
As with the six-day version, accommodation is tiered across Classic, Luxury, and Premium options at every stop, so the same itinerary can be built to suit a range of budgets.
