Timed for the wildebeest calving season, this six-day safari centres on the Ndutu area of the southern Serengeti ecosystem — part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area — where the migration's herds gather from December through April. From January, roughly half a million wildebeest calves are born within a few short weeks on the short-grass plains, drawing intense predator activity and some of the most dramatic game viewing in East Africa.
Beyond Ndutu, the route also takes in Tarangire's elephant herds, a full descent into Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions and flamingo-lined shores, giving a genuinely well-rounded Northern Circuit experience built around one specific seasonal event.
